About Me

Hello, I’m Giulia, a passionate design student from Italy.

My passion for design was born from observing how spaces could tell stories: from the atmospheres of TV series to the carefully curated arrangements of luxury boutiques in Paris, the city where I grew up. There, I realized how architecture and interiors could engage people, guide them, and spark emotions.

While traveling, one of my favorite rituals was leafing through Elle Decor magazines on the plane—pages filled with images, materials, and atmospheres that transported me to new worlds. Later, I had the opportunity to complete a short internship in an interior architecture studio in Paris, where I gained a clearer understanding of the architect's role and followed the creative process in practice.

My path into design has been shaped by curiosity and a desire to explore different perspectives. I chose to enroll at the University of Florence, a city full of art, history, and inspiration, where I could immerse myself in a program that spans interiors, product, and communication design. This variety has taught me to see design as a field of intersections, where disciplines overlap and enrich one another.

Beyond academia, I see travel as a way of opening doors—to new perspectives, encounters, and cultural discoveries. Having lived between Italy and France and studied in an international school, I grew up with a multicultural background that continues to shape my way of seeing and designing. Languages are also part of this journey: Italian and French are my mother tongues, I am fluent in English, and I hold a B2 certificate in Spanish. For me, speaking different languages is not only about communication, but about learning to inhabit multiple worlds.

I also nurture a strong passion for craftsmanship: I experiment with porcelain cup designs, create crochet pieces, and continue to refine my freehand drawing skills. For me, working directly with materials and cultivating manual skills are essential to developing an authentic design sensitivity.

My goal is to bring this care and attention to detail into every project, because, as Charles Eames famously said: “The details are not the details. They make the design.”
